I rebranded my logo to give it a Pokémon-themed design.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a recent released mobile game in October 2024 that brings the excitement of card collecting and battling into the digital world. While the game hasn't gone viral, unlike Pokemon Go, it has gained a noticeable following.
The artwork on the digital cards is stunning, showcasing high-quality illustrations that fans will instantly recognize and appreciate. However, one major drawback is that these beautifully designed cards don’t exist in physical form.
This project aims to bridge that gap by creating physical "proxy" versions of select cards from the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Using high-resolution and printing techniques, I plan to recreate the card designs as collectible items that fans can touch, display, or even gift.
This artwork is absolutely stunning.
Before I continue with my journey, I’d like to give a shoutout to Reddit user ramblinreck47 for making this project possible with the detailed instructions. There wasn’t really a solid method for creating realistic proxy cards until ramblinreck47 shared his approach.
I’ll be adding my own twist to the project to see what kind of results I can achieve.
Here is a sample video of what ramblinreck47 has done:
I carefully scaled each card and added a bleed area for cutting. In the end, I was able to fit 9 cards onto a single sheet of vinyl paper!
